More Mexican With This Taco Casserole

Saturday or “Caturday” as we call it in our house is a good chance to decompress, spend some time with the kitties, do a little prep and get ready for the week ahead with a new keto recipe. We tend to do a meal we are familiar with that is quick and easy so we have more time to do the fun stuff. If you do the same the “Caturday Recipe” series is for you. No videos, no pop ups, no explanation of the mountain we hiked to pick the lettuce… just a plain ole’ fashioned Taco Casserole recipe.

Taco Casserole Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz. ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp. butter (to grease the pan)
  • 4 oz. cheese, shredded
  • 2 oz. cream cheese
  • 8 Tbsp. salsa
  • 4 Tbsp. sour cream
  • Taco seasoning to taste

Directions:

  • Put butter in skillet. Add hamburger and taco seasoning. Cook until beef is done.
  • Add cream cheese and mix until melted.
  • Add salsa to beef mixture.
  • Put in a casserole dish. Put cheese on top.
  • Bake at 375 F for 20-25 minutes.
  • Put sour cream on top when plated.

Makes 4 servings
Per Serving = 70% fat, 5% carbs, 25% protein
