If there is one thing we love as much as keto, it’s Disney World. We first went there when our daughter was 7 years old. She was old enough to handle the lineups, but young enough to believe in the magic. It was perfect. Except for the food. We didn’t know how food options worked our first time around. We’ve been back a few times since then and figured it out. Now that we’re keto, it puts a different spin on it, so we thought we would share our knowledge with you. So, here is the next blog in a five part series – eating keto at Hollywood Studios for quick serve options.

Quick serve is like a fastfood restaurant at Disney. You go up to a counter and order. Your food is handed to you, and you go sit where you can find room. Disney is known for their superior service, even with quick serve and snack kiosks. They are used to people asking about nutritional information. We have gone through the menus of these restaurants to get the best starting information for you. That being said, Disney changes things all the time, so these are just beginning suggestions. Make sure you do your own research, and if you are unsure, just ask.

About the Park

Hollywood Studios is the most ride-oriented park at Disney World, in my opinion. They have a Star Wars area that is new and I can’t wait to see it! I love both the Tower of Terror and the Rock N Roller Coaster in this park. We tend to spend a lot of time there. That being said, their food options tend to be limited, at best. Add into that a keto lifestyle, and you will see that you definitely need to do some research before you go!

Keto at Hollywood Studios for Breakfast

The only place to get a breakfast that is keto in Hollywood Studios is the Trolley Car Cafe. This is a Starbucks location, so you can get your usual coffee or tea and a breakfast sandwich. Just don’t eat the bread used with the sandwich. They have a couple of sit-down restaurants you could check for breakfasts, but for quick service, this is about it.

Snacks at Hollywood Studios

The Anaheim Produce cart has pickle in a pouch listed as a snack. Pickles on keto can be really good if they are dill and aren’t packed with sugar. Pickles can also be very bad on keto, with items such as gherkins and sweet sandwich pickles. Take a look and if they are dill without a bunch of sugar added, you are good to go!

Keto at Hollywood Studios for Main Meals

The ABC Commissary has a couple of options. There is a chicken club you could get with no bread. They also have a Mediterranean salad you can have with or without chicken. Just get that with no hummus or flatbread. The nice part about this place is that you can have Babybel cheese as a side.

PizzaRizzo also has a Babybel cheese snack as a side. You won’t find any keto-friendly pizza here, but they do have an antipasto salad or a side Caesar salad (ask for no croutons).

Woody’s Lunch Box has a smoked turkey sandwich that looks like it would be keto-friendly, just without the bread. They have both the cheese snack and cheese sauce listed as available for sides!

If you want something a little different, Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo has a roasted Endoran chicken salad. As for no grapes or yogurt drizzle, and maybe get the dressing on the side. They also have a Ronto wrap. Ask for this with no coleslaw, no pita, and no chips.

Traditional Hamburgers and Hotdogs at Hollywood Studios

If you are looking for hotdogs, check out Fairfax Fare with no buns. Hamburgers are available at Backlot Express. Ask for no bun or fries. Rosie’s All-American Cafe has both hot dogs and hamburgers. Even more intriguing is their side of cheese sauce!

A Final Thought

So, there aren’t a huge amount of options for keto people at this park if you’re looking to do quick service. That being said, this is not the park where you tend to plan to eat a lot. I mean, you can’t eat a bunch of grease and then do the Tower of Terror…or at least you shouldn’t. We plan to eat a big breakfast somewhere else as a table service, and then eat a table service dinner on this park day. An emptier stomach makes for a more fun ride day!
