We go to Orlando for one reason – Disney World.  Well, actually, Disney World during the winter months to get out of the cold.  There are plenty of keto options at Disney World, and I am working on a book of this right now.  Some of the top options are the steak houses and the Boathouse.  But if you are venturing outside the Mouse’s house, there are a couple of options that sound really good. This is how to eat keto in Orlando.

Eat Keto in Orlando at the Bulk Pantry

Still on the topic of Disney World, if you are a part of the keto Disney groups on Facebook, you will notice everyone raves about The Bulk Pantry.  It offers amazing keto-friendly treats and they deliver to Disney World.  According to those who know, you order what you want in advance and they are at your hotel when you arrive.  When I googled them, they don’t seem to have a website, but everything is on Facebook.

If you click on “services” it has a list of what they offer along with the nutritional information.  They have muffins, donuts, cookies, cakes, cheesecakes, fat bombs, bagels, and keto breads.  Next time we go to Disney World (and it will be soon within the next two years!) we will take advantage of this service and let you know how it goes.

Keto Specific Restaurants in Orlando

I looked for restaurants in the Orlando area that specifically referred to keto items.  You can always do a steak house or research what there is at a chain restaurant.  But there were three that stood out to me.  The first is Wholesome Keto Treats and Eats.  They have the keto treats, like cakes, cheesecakes, donuts and cookies.  They have muffins and soft pretzels and cinnamon buns.  But what really make me look at them was the hot breakfast and lunch options!  They serve chaffles, sandwiches made with chaffles as the “bread,” keto pizza hot pockets, keto pizzas, keto breads and rolls, and bagels.

They have sample boxes that give you themed items, such as chocolate peanut butter, blueberry, brownies, and traditional (little mix of everything).  Imagine, my keto people, going into a restaurant and ordering a meal that is all keto friendly off the menu!  It sounds like a little piece of heaven.  I’m so excited to try this place, and from the reviews, it isn’t going anywhere any time soon.

Other Options to Eat Keto in Orlando

Another place that looks good is called Too Much Sauce.  They serve the fusion bowls of a base, a protein, a vegetable and a sauce.  They have a couple of keto and low-carb options.  The first is “Buddy’s Keto” which is apparently created in consultation with the Orlando mayor Buddy Dyer.  It includes roasted lemon pepper salmon, mixed greens, zucchini, Pico de Gallo, feta, almonds and a low carb Italian vinaigrette.  The other one that caught my attention was the low carb option.

It gives you a choice of protein, cauliflower rice, lettuce, broccoli, mushrooms and the Italian vinaigrette.  You can also build your own bowl.  If you’re having a party, they have an option of ingredients based on the Buddy’s Keto bowl.  There are no numbers on the nutritional information listed on the website that I could find, so ask some questions!

Try Athena Roasted Chicken

Last but not least on this list is Athena Roasted Chicken.  Now, I love me some roasted chicken, especially when it is made by people trained in Greek and Mediterranean cuisine.  They marinate their chicken with only dry spices and lemon, so that sounds very keto-friendly.  The reviews are really good on this place.

What really caught my eye and made them stand out was that they say they will do their sandwiches and wraps with lettuce instead of bread, catering to the keto and low-carb community.  They have a side of green beans and also a dish called zucchini cypriana.  I’m not sure what the zucchini dish is, but I’d love to see some pictures and get some nutritional information on it!

So… Can You Be Keto in Orlando

All in all, it looks like Orlando is a good place to be if you are keto.  I’m sure I’m missing a lot of restaurants that offer keto specific options, and I’d love to hear about them.  When we go to keto, we are going to keep eating the way we do, partly because we enjoy it and partly because Bill’s health would suffer if we didn’t.  With all these options, I don’t think we’ll have any problems enjoying our vacation and staying with keto!
