It’s Canada Day!  A day to celebrate all of us who are known for our great outdoors, our manners, and our beer.  When we started keto, we saw all the wonderful products that were available in the States.  So, we started researching what was available in Canada.  Turns out we have a few keto companies of our own!  So, today, we celebrate our Canadian keto companies with this Top 10 list.

Canadian Keto Snack Companies

  1. The Ketonut – This company has products available in Ontario and in the Western provinces.  They offer things like granola, pork rinds, sugar-free chocolates, and peanut butter cups.  You can also get them shipped throughout Canada for an extra $10.
  1. McSweeney’s – They always make our snacks list for keto!  McSweeney’s has an entire sugar-free line of beef jerky.  They even have a jalapeno option for those who like it spicy!
  1. Love Good Fats – Probably the most popular Canadian keto company, they are based out of Toronto.  Thomas DeLaurer talks about products available in Canada on YouTube and specifically mentions this company.  They have truffle bars that apparently melt in your mouth.  Their chewy nutty bars offer some crunch.  And if you can’t decide, you can get a variety pack.  Each bar does have 1-2 grams of carbs that are sugar, so this is important to note if you need to keep your insulin levels stable.

Canadian Keto Nuts and Seeds

  1. Manitoba Harvest is based out of – you guessed it – Manitoba.  They have hemp seeds and granola that is keto-friendly.  They were also the first Canadian food company to attain a Carbon Zero certification.
  1. Sunco Nuts for Nature Products – these are based out of British Columbia.  They have all kinds of nuts and pure nut butters.

Dressings and Oils from Canadian Keto Companies Renee’s Gourmet Salad Dressings and Dips – this company was started in by Canadian Renee Unger and is prepared in Montreal. Sure, now they are owned by Kraft, but they still count in our books! Their dressings are a staple in our fridge, and we love the flavour we get with just 1 gram of carbs in a tablespoon. You know they are the real deal because they are found in the cooler – not on the shelf. Maison Orphee – This Canadian producer makes oils, mustards, and vinaigrettes. They cold-press their oils for high quality products. You’ll pay a little more, but get many more nutrients! Other Ingredients from Canadian Keto Companies Unico Mediterranean Foods – This is a big company with high quality ingredients. They are not specifically keto, in fact they specialize in pasta. But before we found Rao tomato sauce, we made our own sauce with their diced tomatoes because they didn’t have a lot of additives. It was just tomatoes. They also have olives available in the jar. Kusha Ghee – This lactose and gluten-free alternative to butter is made right her in Canada. It is 100% made from Canadian grass-fed cows. Last but not least is a Nova Scotian company as a shout out to our roots. Oxford is the world’s largest supplier of wild blueberries. They have been freezing wild blueberries since 1968. And, do you know what is in the package? Wild blueberries. That’s it. Period. That’s it for our top 10 Canadian keto companies. Celebrate Canada Day and enjoy a keto product made right here in our country! Wendy
